Without the interest and advice of David Kaus, Senior Curator, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Programs, National Museum of Australia, the discovery and acquisition of these illustrations would have been difficult, to the point that we may have had to reprint from the imperfect, but available, published copies.
